When I began having eye problems a couple of years ago, I was devastated, of course. I think the blessing of sight is the most precious and I really thought I was going blind.
I never told anyone about this, even after the doctors told me that this was a possibility.
Blind? Blind????!!!
Well with the help of a grant and some excellent doctors, my sight was saved with two operations (and lots of prayers).
I have always loved to read and my most favorite thing to read is the daily newspaper.
Unfortunately, the state of the paper is in pretty bad shape. Sections are being cut to 4 pages...many of my favorite writers have "retired" or moved on...I can now read an entire paper in about 15 minutes.
I know we now have the internet and there's a place in the world for it, but there's nothing like sitting back in the easy chair with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and the sports page...
Heaven.
