As a kid growing up in the ghetto (?), I watched a lot of cartoons.
Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Popeye...
Yes...I can admit it now. I...was a Popeye fan.
It was the freakin' spinach.
I thought it was cool how he could pop open a can of the stuff, chomp it down and save the world from Brutus and recapture his main squeeze, Olive Oyl.
Way cool...
Over this past weekend, there has been news of "bad spinach", "killing spinach"...
I don't know where this is all gonna end but I think it's ironic that something that is so good for us is putting people in the hospital and killing.
There were whispers of terrorists putting poison in the spinach, which are now being proven untrue.
It seems like there were some problems at the factory that produced the bagged product.
I think I will be like Popeye and stick with the can...
