I turned 50 years old six months ago today.
I really struggled with that monumental event for sometime, but you know what? Being 50 is not that bad.
In the spirit of my favorite talk show host, David Letterman, I would now like to present the Top 10 Reasons Turning 50 Is Not That Bad:
10) I don't look six months over 49
9) I am more closer to my kids that ever before
8) I found out I had a brain seizure and I am still standing!
7) I really like the smell of my own brand
6)Although I don't drink near as much as I used to, bourbon STILL tastes fantastic
5) I am starting to like my summer "afro"
4) I have a lot more friends than I realize
3) I really love music by The Blues Brothers
2) There's nothing like a cheeseburger
and 1) I AM STILL ALIVE!
Fifty is definitely nifty...
