I was watching Letterman last Thursday night and it was a very entertaining show. All of a sudden, Dave says, "You guys want to hear a story?" Of course, I thought it was some sort of bit...
Turns out, Dave spoke of an extortion attempt against him. A guy was trying to fleece him out of 2 million dollars. He says Dave did some "bad things" and if he didn't turn over the loot, he was gonna write a screenplay or maybe even write a book about Dave and his "bad things,"
To make a long story short, Dave's "bad things" were that he had sex with some staff members. One of them, allegedly, is former assistant, Stephanie Birkitt.
Dave confessed to this and apologized.
That should be all to this story, but I'll bet the media is gonna try and milk it for a another month or so.
Oh well, this IS America...
