The lady who lit the fuse for the hip hop genre or rapping, Sylvia Robinson was responsible for that.
She died over the weekend at age 76.
She was also a singer ("Pillow Talk"-1973).
Just think if it wasn't for her, Kanye West and Eminem might not even exist.
R.I.P. Ms. Robnson...
