I have had a very bad last few of years health wise. First there was the TIA on my way to Florida in 2006. The it was the TIA and stent surgery of 2007 and this year it was the vitrectomy in July.
On top of all that was the diabetes. My suger was registered at 400 in 2006.
I began taking various medication like Actos, and Glipzide but nothing seemed to work regularly. I was beginning to think I would soon be prescribed insulin, which I dreaded. I was later prescribed a drug called Metformin along with Glipzide and they seemed to work well. I went to the doctor last week and my sugar was registered at 186!
I was then told to double my dosage of Metformin twice a day and when I tested my sugar on Saturday, guess what?
It was 102...that's right 102!
The last few years have indeed been a learning experience, but now I finally believe I am on the right track.
